Visuals that are ethereal, captured from the viewpoint of an unobtrusive observer.
When I have an idea, I choose the medium that will best express it. This may be photography, short stories, journalism or theatre. My art series, Vali, was created under the mentorship of renowned South African photographer Jodi Bieber. This series was exhibited at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum and the Joburg Fringe. One of my pieces, ‘Collecting Bones from the Fire’, was selected for Orion magazine’s Winter 2022 issue.
Two plays I have written, Piercings and The Nobodies, were performed at The Market Theatre. I wrote an oral story, also titled Vali, for the Goethe-Institut Berlin’s Time to Listen project. A professional member of PEN South Africa, I have written long-form features for Al Jazeera, LCB Diplomatique and The Thinker. My most recent projects include content for Africa’s Tourism Indaba 2022 and op-eds I have ghost written for various clients. These op-eds have featured in Business Day, The Star and The Sunday Times.
