About The Creative

Nathalia is a Brazilian interdisciplinary artist who was born in 1993. Her passion for nature and its complexity is grounded in an academic background in biology. Based in Cape Town since 2020, the self-taught artist explores the details, textures and patterns found in natural environments and daily life, using threads on fabric and common objects. Through textile art, she invites people to reflect on conservation and social issues in a sensitive and sensorial way. Nathalia believes that combining the arts and sciences is a powerful tool to raise awareness about the connection between humans and our relation to the environment and other species.
