About The Creative

My art celebrates the hidden, unseen, and often under-appreciated beauty in nature, dealing with notions of mimesis, ecology, and artificial nature. I create my sculptural artworks using experimental techniques and non-traditional materials like hot glue and resin. I find inspiration in natural forms and intricate textures, as well as through experimentation with the medium itself. While I aim to showcase the beauty, I do so with a hint of despair. Through my art practice, I create a world filled with new but seemingly recognisable entities – an idealised but artificial nonhuman nature – hinting that one day, the artificial will be all that is left to inhabit the natural world.
